Frequently Asked Questions

What is the process for planning an event?

First we will need to understand a little about your event. We will then arrange a meeting with one of our Event Planners in order for us to provide you with a preliminary proposal that will outline the details including pricing, rentals, staffing and menu. Then we will work with you to fine tune the vision of your event until it is exactly as you would like it.

What size events do you cater?

We provide service for weddings, meetings, social gatherings and celebrations of all types and sizes….from 10 to 10,000!

How far do you travel to cater an event?

We cater throughout Rhode Island, Southeastern Massachusetts and Eastern Connecticut.

Can you recommend a venue for my event?

Yes. Millonzi’s can offer you considerable insight into your choice of venues, drawing from our many years of experience catering all types of parties and receptions. Please see our preferred venue list on our website.

Can you provide rentals (for example, tents, tables, chairs) for my event?

Yes. We can coordinate all of the rental items needed to execute your event.

What menu options are available for my event?

Millonzi’s Fine Catering is a full service caterer and as such offers you a wide array of options to choose from. We can provide you with casual outdoor buffets to formal plated dinners, from dynamic corporate lunches to elegant wedding receptions with stationary and passed hors d’oeurvres. We can make your vision a reality…Please go to our menu page for more details.

Can you accommodate special dietary requests (for example vegan, vegetarian, kosher)?

Yes. Just make your Event Planner aware of your request 7 days prior to your event date.

Can you supply alcohol for my event?

Yes. But Millonzi’s Fine Catering must also provide Certified Bartenders to serve it.

Can I provide my own beverages?

You may of course provide your own beverages. Please discuss this with your Event planner during your initial discussions about your event.

Can you cater an alcohol-only event?

Yes. Please contact one of our event planners to discuss pricing and options available.

Can you provide service and/or bar staff for an event?

Yes. The cost of service staff is based on your location, level of difficulty, facility challenges, your service caliber expectations and budget. The number of service staff varies because every event has its own unique set of challenges. Your event planner will be happy to discuss the ideal staffing levels in order to make your event a success.

What can I expect to see in your proposal?

Once you and our event planning department have had an opportunity to review our catering menu options, you will receive a written proposal. This formal written proposal will outline your food selections, any equipment rentals, staffing requirements and any other charges associated with your event. This can be forwarded by either email or fax.

Are any gratuities included in either my proposal or final bill?

Gratuity is not charged on either the proposal or on the final bill. Gratuity is at your discretion and gratefully accepted by our staff. Our kitchen, service and bar staffs work as a team and share in any gratuity equally.

How far in advance of my event do I need to book your services?

Typically, you should begin planning small events at least 1 month in advance. Large events like weddings should be planned at least 6 months in advance of your wedding date. However, last minute planning may still be possible.

Do I need to sign a contract?

Yes. It is important for our clients to understand our policies relating to refund, alcohol, and our terms and agreements. It is important that our clients read and insure that we both agree on the important details like menu, time, date, and location.

If I am interested in a style of menu that I do not see on your website, can you customize a menu for me?

Of course! We can customize any menu to whatever style and theme you would like. Please speak to one of our event planners to discuss options and pricing.

What do I need to do in order to reserve my event date with Millonzi’s Fine Catering?

A 50% deposit is required to hold a date for an event.

When do I need to decide on a final guest count?

Your final guest count is due 7 days before your event or when falling on a weekend, the Monday prior. This count is considered a guarantee, not subject to reduction. When your party is booked, you will be notified as to the final count date. In the event that the guest attendance exceeds the guaranteed final count, you will be charged for any additional attendees that we can accommodate.
